Her particular area of interest is the development of the so called ‘model farm’ in the 18th and early 19th centuries. She has also designed, managed and undertaken a range of wide area landscape, earthworks and conditions management surveys, including work for English Heritage and the National Trust.
Penny has proven experience in the management and steering of a variety of archaeological projects both in this country and abroad. Work includes archaeological survey, buildings recording, test pitting and sampling projects, evaluation and open area excavations across Kent, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham and Northumberland.
